What’s Happening In Spring Hill?

3rd Annual Middle Tennessee Pond Tour to be held May 17th and 18th

(Franklin, TN) Tranquil Waterscape Designs, LLC, and the Tennessee Children’s Home are planning the 3rd annual pond tour. The tour this year has 19 stops, 3 in Southern Davidson County, 14 in Williamson County, and 2 in Northern Maury County. Tour participants will see pondless waterfalls, small ponds, large koi ponds, garden areas, and an outdoor classroom located at David Lipscomb Elementary. The tour is from 10 am to 5 pm Saturday and 1 pm to 5 pm on Sunday. Tour participants can stop by Tranquil Waterscape Designs in Franklin with their paid tour ticket and register to win a free pond kit. “We want to emphasize to the general public that 100% of the ticket sales goes directly to the children; we are covering the cost of all promotional and ticket cost,” stated Randy Young of Tranquil Waterscape Designs, LLC. Tickets and maps can be downloaded @ www.tranquilwaterscape.com, purchased at the Franklin location of Tranquil Waterscape Designs, or purchased at any of the tour locations.

Upcoming Chamber Meeting

The May meeting for the Greater Spring Hill Area Chamber of Commerce will be held Wednesday, May 21 11:30am at Best Western. Your attendance is needed to make our upcoming programs and events even more successful than in the past. Membership dues have been set for 2008 at $100 for one to ten full time employees. We understand how tough it is for small businesses to succeed especially with the current economy and the Greater Spring Hill Area Chamber wants to help. Now businesses can join at a minimal fee and promote their business to other businesses as well as having the chamber promote their services to the community. Website banner ads are still available for your business to get increased exposure. Member cost for the top banner is $25 per month or $200 for a year. You do not even have to create the banner as Barb Cochran of Big Dogs Computer Services & Web Design is providing that service for free to the chamber. Please mark your calendars for the upcoming meeting. Officers for 2008 have been elected and are Tommy Dudley (Spring Hill Auto Lube) as Chairman, Leigh Gillig (Keller Williams – The Gillig Group) Treasurer and Lisa Beard (Appraisal Services) Secretary. If you want to become involved in the chamber and promote your business, please contact Tommy Dudley at (931)486-1983 or Lisa Beard at (931)334-6036 or just come to one of our monthly meetings and see what this chamber has to offer.

The Greater Spring Hill Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Barb Cochran of Big Dogs Computer Services for creating the website (http://www.greaterspringhill.com/) and banner ads, Peter Patel of Best Western Spring Hill Inn & Suites for giving us space to meet each month, and Melissa Overton of The Informer for providing space in each edition to share news on the chamber with the community and existing and prospective members.

Many events in the community will be planned for the coming months. If you know of an event coming up and want to get the details out, please contact Lisa Beard at (931)334-6036 or email me at lmbeard@bellsouth.net.
